Grades 5-7: Geometry; Students explore the relationships of a circle’s diameter to its circumference and of its radius squared to its area. They encounter the number pi and discover the role it plays in these relationships. They then express these relationships as formulas and apply them in problem-solving situations. Includes a CD with video help for each activity, as well as PDFs to facilitate printing and use on interactive boards. |
