Spring into Math and Science provides hands-on activities that bring springtime into the classroom.  Young learners will make green shamrock cookies, create a living sponge garden, and discover the colors of a rainbow.

In the well-loved activity “Eggstra Eggsploration,” children look at the parts of an egg, learn how heat can make an egg solid, play a game rolling hard-boiled eggs to see whose travels the farthest, and taste a sample of egg salad on a cracker.

These springtime activities infuse energy into the classroom and build upon children’s natural curiosity and desire to explore their surroundings.

Teachers will appreciate the use of process skills, including observing, sorting and classifying, measuring, counting, graphing, and collecting data.
